Replacing the tired engine in your 2011-2016 GM 6.6L Duramax LML/LGH with a DFC Tow/Haul Standard Series Long Block is a great alternative to replacing your tow truck. This engine is remanufactured is able to support up to 500 horsepower as is built to meet the most strict guidelines. DFC focuses on upgrading the Duramax's weaknesses from the factory with the addition of such as an EDM oil pump shaft with a hardened dowel to prevent the risk of oil pressure loss. DFC also rejects any cores that need considerable “restoring”, ensuring your engine is built with the best quality components. Each engine is remanufactured using advanced Rottler machining equipment to give you an engine that is built to tolerances that are more precise than the factory specs for a more efficient and longer lasting engine!
The DFC short block is machined with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies to help you get a smoother running engine that makes less noise and is more balanced. DFC short blocks include reinforced internals with new pistons, rings, doweled oil pump, bearings, and rods.
During the remanufacturing process, DFC upgrades the Tow/Haul Series engines to give you a better performing and longer lasting engine. Each long block gets a Stage 2 Performance Camshaft, DFC HD Push Rods, ARP 2000 Series Head Studs, Mahle Motorsports HD Pistons, DFC push rods and Hamilton HD valve springs.
Unlike some other engine builders in the industry that re-use wearing items like valves and valves guides, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI and replaces each valve guide with a new cast guide in every cylinder head. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.

Complete short block with the front cover and seal, rear cover with main seal, oil pan, all new internal components, cylinder heads with all rockers and pushrods installed, doweled oil pump gear, woodruff keyed cam shaft and complete gasket kit for installation.
