Part # 1040310

The BD Performance Elbow Orifice can make your everyday driving experience much more pleasant. The factory wastegate on your HX35 or HX40 turbocharger is set to open at approximately 21 psi of boost. If you've made any fueling upgrades such as a Fuel Plate or Performance Injectors, then the 21psi of boost pressure is going to be inadequate for the extra fuel and you won't see the full potential of those fueling upgrades until you correct your boost pressure. The Performance Boost Elbow simply installs in place of the brass fitting on the compressor housing. If you've made some fueling upgrades and you still have the stock turbo, then you can use the performance boost elbow to raise your boost pressure to as much as 35psi or more so that you can burn the extra fuel more efficiently, creating more power, better fuel economy, less smoke and lower EGT's.This is a quick and inexpensive way to gain up to 50% more boost under acceleration. You'll notice a snappier throttle and less "sluggishness", something you can appreciate when pulling into heavy traffic. Installs in about 10 minutes with a few simple tools. A boost gauge is recommended when installing this item.
