6.2L 6.5L Injector Installation Kit MCB62120
New 6.5L Installation Kits General Motors has reported complaints of excessive black smoke during acceleration of the 6.5L turbocharged diesel engine. This complaint usually occurs after engine or fuel system repair. The cause of the black smoke is either lack of installation or improper installation of the 10191428 EGR Tower Gasket. The purpose of the gasket is to seal ex haust gasses from the intake system.
DIPACO now has available the D10191428 EGR Tower Gasket. We have incorporated this gasket into two new installation kits: DPE65100 6.5L Pump and Injector Installation Kit and DPE65110 6.5L Pump Installation Kit. The D10191428 EGR Tower Gasket is also available separately. The D10191428 is installed on top of the intake manifold EGR tower below the intake extension. The metal side of the gasket faces up when it is installed correctly. If your customer has a 6.5L engine, you need to supply him with the appropriate DIPACO 6.5L kit. If your customer is installing injectors only, continue to use the DPE62120 Injector Installation Kit.
