BD 48RE Transmissions for Dodge 2003-2007 are now available with an optional TapShifter Kit for the ultimate transmission set-up. Paired with a built BD transmission, you can now access all 4-gears and converter lock-up control with the push of a button.

No programming needed, the 48RE TapShifter allows automatic or full manual shifting for your 3rd gen Dodge. Street/Towing applications can take advantage of range select and TorqLoc functions. Racers can now have a manual valve body without sacrificing drivability and also have access to manual torque converter lockup in all gears at the tap of a button.

The TapShifter Kit includes a newer '68RFE' style shift lever, control module, gear selection display and a sealed plug-in wiring harness that does not require cutting or tapping of wires.
