The DFC Remanufactured Street Series Long Block Engine is a perfect replacement engine for your 2011-2016 GM 6.6L Duramax LML/LGH. DFC commits to their high standards by making crucial improvements during the remanufacturing process to maintain reliability, even with applications that have addition horsepower over stock. DFC focuses on upgrading the Duramax's known weak points from the factory, such as adding an EDM oil pump shaft with a hardened dowel to prevent slipping and the risk of oil pressure loss. DFC checks every core before the build process and uses Rottler machining equipment that allows for tolerances that are tighter and more precise than OEM specification. DFC chooses only the best cores and rejects any components that require considerable “restoring” as a way to maintain the highest standards possible.

Engine Remanufacturing

The DFC short block is machined with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies to help you get a smoother running engine that makes less noise and is more balanced.  DFC short blocks include reinforced internals with new pistons, rings, doweled oil pump, bearings, and rods.

Cylinder Head

Unlike some other engine builders in the industry that re-use wearing items like valves and valves guides, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI and replaces each valve guide with a new cast guide in every cylinder head. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.

DFC 6.6L Long Block Includes:

Complete short block with the front cover and seal, rear cover with main seal, oil pan, all new internal components, cylinder heads with all rockers and pushrods installed, doweled oil pump gear, woodruff keyed cam shaft and complete gasket kit for installation.

New Engine Checklist (Replacement Items - Sold Separately):
  • Oil Cooler - highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.
  • Injectors - highly recommended especially on higher model engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
  • Turbocharger - recommended if mileage over 125K, mandatory if shaft play, or if engine was dusted.
  • Water Pump - highly recommended if engine has over 125K.
  • Evans Waterless Coolant - recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion and boilover.

 

Application Note: The specific brand of each component may change due to part availability at the time of each build. Parts are chosen at the discretion of DFC and cannot be specially requested. DFC uses only the best components sourced from multiple brands during the remanufacturing process and backs their engines with an industry-leading 5-year 100,000 mile warranty.

Note: $500 Crate charge is included in core charge total. Engine shipping crate must be returned with core engine to receive full core credit.

Warranty Information  

DFC Limited Standard Warranty (5-years / 100,000 Mile)

The term of the Standard Limited Warranty is dependent on the part of the Remanufactured Unit malfunctioning and the type of defect. Parts coverage and labor coverage varies from length of time to the product failure. Any labor warranties provided herein shall only be provided to a maximum of one hundred ($100.00) dollars USD per hour using Mitchell Labor Guide flat rate times to a maximum forty (40) hours (the “Labor Rate”). No amounts charged or incurred by the Customer beyond the Labor Rate will be paid or reimbursed by DFC. For further clarity, no amounts beyond a maximum of four thousand ($4000.00) USD (the “Labor Limited Warranty Maximum”) shall be paid for any labor warranty under the Standard Limited Warranty.
