Over time, a thermostat can get sticky where it doesn’t completely open or completely close. This can cause the engine to run a little too hot or not allow the engine to get up to the proper operating temperature. In extreme cases, it can get stuck shut and cause the engine to overheat. This thermostat will drop in place of the old one.
