Replace your fuel injection pump and future-proof it with an S/S Diesel filter bypass kit. If you have an aging pump, it is a great idea to replace it. These are known to run hotter and higher rpm than the old style and it isn't a case of IF it will fail, it's WHEN it will fail. Pump failure causes metal debris to contaminate the entire fuel system, with the only fix thereafter to be a complete replacement of all fuel components. Pump, injectors, fuel lines...
