OEM replacement modules can be costly. They arrive un-programmed and require the installer to program them before the vehicle can be used, a process that is often both challenging and expensive for most independent repair shops. Our professionally remanufactured 6.0 Powerstroke FICM's are 100% torn down, upgraded and fully tested on a vehicle simulator. Once each unit has successfully completed initial testing, it is pre-programmed with the necessary vehicle software and is prepared for installation and operation. All you have to do is install it and drive it away! If you have any questions, please call us at (800) 823-4444.
The Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) is responsible for stepping up the battery voltage to 48 volts, which is required to activate the injectors. The FICM works in conjunction with the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to control the fuel delivery to the engine.
The module is located on the engines valve cover, and is subjected to extreme heat and vibration which is the most probable cause of the FICM's high failure rate. A failed FICM will cause stalling or a no-start condition. If your FICM voltage is low, then you should see a DTC P0611 (Fuel Injector Control Module Performance).

Finding Your 6.0L Engine Build Date:
The most accurate way to get the correct FICM is by looking at the Engine Data Sticker that is located on the passenger side valve cover. It will either have a date on it like this: "June 12th, 2004", or a date code in the DDMMYYYY format like this: "12062004". An OASIS report or a service work order from a Ford dealership will also show your engine build date. However you go about it, it is important that you get the "Engine Build Date", as opposed to the "Vehicle Build Date".
Choosing the correct FICM for 2003 - 2004 F-Series Trucks and Excursions:
2003 thru early 2004 = ICP Sensor located near back of engine head (build date to 9/22/03)
Late 2004 up = ICP Sensor in passenger side valve cover (build date after 9/22/03)
