We recommend this upgrade for every 68RFE transmission. The factory coupler is plastic and Easily broken or cross-threaded when installing a new filter. They are also prone to breaking after a few good bumps leaving your filter on the bottom of the pan... expect a full transmission failure soon after! Eliminate this factory oversight by installing this billet filter coupler.
